Warehouse Inventory Cycle Counter

Job Summary

The Warehouse Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, investigations, and reconciliation of discrepancies. This role supports warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational integrity by ensuring physical inventory aligns with system records.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts of inventory items
• Verify physical inventory against warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP data
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis
• Document count results and report variances to supervisors or inventory control management
• Work closely with warehouse, receiving, shipping, and operations teams to correct errors
• Assist with physical inventory counts and audits as required
• Ensure inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized
• Follow inventory control procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Previous warehouse, inventory control, or cycle counting experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, and handheld scanners
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Basic math and data entry skills
• Ability to identify patterns, discrepancies, and process issues
• Good communication and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [X] lbs regularly
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including varying temperatures
• Ability to use ladders, pallet jacks, or forklifts (certification a plus)

• Warehouse/distribution center setting
• May require overtime, weekends, or shift flexibility during inventory counts
