Job OverviewWarehouse Lead – Dallas, Texas (Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Lead directs the work of others and participates in shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.
Typical Responsibilities- Coordinates the activities of subordinates.
- Ensures accurate, up‑to‑date records of inventory in the stockroom and daily operations; completes necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.
- Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with the shipper to rectify issues; fills out appropriate forms or documents.
- Fills orders and issues materials and supplies per requests; documents transactions, prepares requisitions, and computes costs; keeps records of storeroom inventory.
- Updates the status of the materials and ETAs in the ERP system to provide visibility to downstream processes.
- Tracks material shortages and maintains a complete material shortage report along with resolution status on those items.
- Interface and coordinates with various departments to resolve material and capacity constraints.
- Notifies appropriate internal teams (project managers, production managers, etc.) of any issues and material shortages that could potentially affect production.
- Manages the log for material borrows between projects and provides appropriate visibility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years’ experience in planning, production, inventory, or expediting.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an MRP/ERP system.
Periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using a computer. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time. Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor.
