Hajoca Corporation is one of the country’s largest privately-held wholesale distributors of plumbing, heating & cooling, and industrial supplies. Hajoca operates a decentralized model where each location, called a Profit Center (PC), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center includes a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom. PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized approach for local markets.

Moore Supply Co. is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at its North Dallas, TX location.

Pay for Warehouse Teammate is $18 per hour at this location.

About the Role:

  • Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
  • Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
  • Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
  • Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
  • Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
  • Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
  • Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
  • Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
  • Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

  • 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
  • Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
  • Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
  • Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Know safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
  • Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
