Position
Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Taylor Corporation – Dallas, TX
Responsibilities- Perform the physical and/or administrative duties associated with shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, reject damaged goods, and enter data into the inventory control system.
- Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse.
- Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor.
- Pick, wrap, and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers prior to final packing for shipment, affixing identifying information to the packages.
- Use various shipping systems for Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS.
- Adjust to a fast‑paced and quickly changing environment.
- Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting.
- Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as needed.
- Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
- Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
- Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record‑keeping purposes.
- Complete shipping and receiving reports.
1st Shift;
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Must Have- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems as needed.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
- Constantly operate machinery and handle products, including print materials.
- Frequently required to move inside the facility.
- Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry).
- Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit‑down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
