Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Dalton, Georgia. (On-site 5 days a week) In this role, you will manage essential AP functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in invoice processing and payment transactions. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and detail-oriented environment. Any flooring or manufacturing experience would be a plus!!

Must have at least TWO years of Accounts Payable Experience using Microsoft Dynamics would be beneficial as well!

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices with precision, ensuring proper coding and adherence to company policies.

- Maintain accurate records for all accounts payable transactions and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

- Handle payment processing, including ACH transfers and check runs, in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment-related issues efficiently.

- Review and approve account coding for invoices to ensure alignment with financial standards.

- Monitor and manage the accounts payable ledger, keeping it up-to-date and error-free.

- Assist with monthly and annual financial closings by providing AP-related documentation and reports.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.

- Strong knowledge of invoice coding, payment processing, and ACH transactions.

- Familiarity with check run procedures and accounts payable systems.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and vendors.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Must be open willing to consent to drug and background screening to be considered for this role!
