This position performs accounting duties in support of a variety of department functions. A complete application must include:

Responsibilities include supervision functions, managing the college's bank account, activities in support of annual reporting, maintenance of unclaimed property, general accounting functions, asset management and GASB compliance, and a variety of related duties.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration and/or a combination of education and equivalent work experience, and more than one year of related experience. Preferred qualifications include more than two years of related experience, experience in higher education, and experience in business and/or accounting.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include knowledge of computers and job-related software programs, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), University System of Georgia policies and procedures, state, system, and college travel policies, asset management principles, college policies and procedures, accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls; skills in decision making and problem solving, interpersonal relations, and managing and leading professional staff; and abilities to work independently and as a part of a team, and to manage time to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
