As a Customer Service Rep 1 with the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.

Location:

North Georgia Health District Office - Dalton, GA

Job Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations.

  • Will answer calls and schedule appointments for six counties within the health district
  • Resolves any issues involving scheduling
  • Will remain updated on information regarding the programs offered throughout the counties
  • Assist with interpreting when needed
  • Transfer calls to appropriate department
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multi-phone lines
  • Work within M&M software system
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Bi-lingual-(English/Spanish) Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical Office Experience
  • Two (2) years of medical appointment scheduling experience
  • Knowledge of working within M&M software system
Additional Information

Current State employees are subject to State Personnel Board rules regarding salary.

CBH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered.

All positions require criminal history record check. Required education credentials, license, certification and/or registration must be submitted prior to employment in the position. Some positions require pre-employment drug testing in which the applicant who is offered the position will be required to successfully complete.
