Hematologist​/Oncologist

Join a dedicated clinical team at a cancer center attached to an acute care hospital in Dalton, Georgia, for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity starting in January. Clinicians will provide outpatient hematology and oncology care, focusing primarily on the infusion center with Monday through Friday daytime hours and no call requirements. This role involves evaluating and managing adult patients, maintaining documentation via EPIC EMR, and collaborating with an established support staff of advanced practice providers and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage
• Focus primarily on the infusion center
• Provide evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions within an outpatient setting
• Manage 5-7 patients per day
• Perform inpatient consultations only when the attending physician is unavailable, as designated
• Maintain all clinical documentation through the EPIC EMR system
