Job Summary

Dalton State College Wright School of Business seeks a full-time tenure track Assistant / Associate Professor of Management Information Systems position beginning August 1, 2026. The successful candidate must demonstrate the potential for excellence in teaching, and service and an interest in applied or pedagogical research. The candidate should have attained a Doctoral degree or be ABD in Management Information Systems or a closely related field, with appropriate coursework in Management Information Systems from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred.

Experience and industry certifications are important pluses.

The

C. Lamar and Ann Wright School of Business is AACSB-accredited, and salary is competitive with the AACSB small school network. We currently offer five B.B.A. degrees with majors in Accounting, Finance and Applied Economics, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing.

Responsibilities

* Teach undergraduate level Management Information Systems courses and WSOB Field of Study and Business Core courses. The teaching load will consist of a minimum of 9 hours per semester, typically this is a 3 course/semester assignment. Candidate must be willing to accommodate a variety of learning styles and strategies in instructional delivery and pedagogical activities, including online and hybrid courses, and student advising and assurance of learning assessment (for both SACS-COC and AACSB) accreditation.

* Engage in research leading to peer-reviewed journal publications and other scholarly output focused on financial teaching pedagogy and/or research targeted to practitioners. The WSOB uses the Australian Business Dean's Council as well as Cabell's Whitelist of journals (25%)
