Job Summary

* The School of Health Professions at Dalton State College invites applicants for a part-time instructor Health & Wellness beginning August 1, 2026. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, off-campus, or online courses.

A complete application must include:

* Transcripts of all college work (undergraduate and graduate). Unofficial transcripts will suffice for initial screening; however, official transcripts will be required upon employment.

Responsibilities

Teach courses at the undergraduate health and wellness level in the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Required Qualifications

* Applicants must have an earned graduate degree (MS or closely related field) with 18 graduate credit hours in their field of expertise (such as, health and wellness, exercise and sports science, exercise physiology, community health, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

* College classroom teaching experience

* Proficient in instruction and evaluation of student assignments

* Knowledgeable of course development and teaching materials

* Experience with online teaching and evaluation

* Earned master
¿ s degree in health and wellness, exercise and sports science, exercise physiology, or community health

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* Demonstrated ability to teach face-to-face, hybrid, and online classroom formats

* Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and use applied learning approaches

* Support the DSC and School of Health Professions Vision, Mission, and Values
