Job SummaryDalton State College
C. Lamar and Ann Wright School of Business is seeking part‑time faculty to teach courses in business related courses as needed. The position is a temporary, part‑time position on a semester‑by‑semester agreement basis. The candidate will be expected to teach a face‑to‑face class.
Salary:
Master’s level degree will pay $2,400 per 3 credit class and Doctoral level degree will pay $3,000 per 3 credit class.
- Provide instruction in accordance with course descriptions, outlines, and class schedules.
- Provide a syllabus with learning objectives, an assessment at the end, and take regular attendance.
- Evaluate progress of students concerning educational matters continuously.
- Hold student hours to be available to students when necessary.
- Participate in any training required by the college and follow all college policies.
- Applicants must have an earned graduate degree (MBA MAcc, or closely related field, preferably from an AACSB‑accredited institution) with 18 graduate credit hours in their field of teaching expertise (accounting, economics, environment of business, finance, logistics and supply chain management, management, marketing, management information systems, statistics, quality management, business communication).
- Applicants should have excellent oral and written communication skills and evidence of, or interest, in teaching primarily face‑to‑face or hybrid classroom environment as well as willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and use applied learning approaches.
