Part-Time Instructor In Information Technology

The School of Arts and Sciences at Dalton State College invites applicants for a part-time instructor in Information Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching beginning courses in Information Technology as well as additional courses in their area of expertise. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, off-campus, or online courses.

Application Process Priority consideration will be afforded to those applicants who submit a completed application. Applications must include these documents:
Letter of application that directly responds to the position description, highlights your relevant qualifications, and demonstrates how your professional experience aligns with the mission, values, and academic environment of Dalton State College. A resume or curriculum vitae. List of three professional references: please include full name, job title, organization, phone number and email address, a brief description of relationship with reference.

Include current and/or past employers. Statement of teaching philosophy and transcripts of all college work. Unofficial transcripts will suffice for initial screening; however, official transcripts will be required upon employment. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.

Teach introductory courses in the Information Technology BAS program.

Applicants must hold an earned Master’s degree from an accredited college with at least 18 graduate credit hours in information technology or a closely related discipline.

College classroom teaching experience.

An earned Master’s degree, with at least 18 graduate credit hours in IT or a closely related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to teach in face-to-face, hybrid, and online classrooms. Willingness to accommodate a variety of learning styles and use applied learning approaches. Support the DSC Vision, Mission and Values and foster an environment of diversity in culture, thought and experience.
