- A leading automotive parts manufacturing company is seeking a Controls Engineer for its Dalton, GA facility. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and network communications, to support production operations. $85K–$90K.
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, robotics, frequency drives, and network communications to support production operations.
- Provide technical support for production equipment to minimize downtime and maximize plant efficiency.
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for control systems.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation and equipment failures.
- Assist in the installation, commissioning, validation, and optimization of new machinery and automation systems.
- Train maintenance and production staff on proper troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with safety/quality standards (NFPA/OSHA).

- BA or BS degree in an engineering or manufacturing‑related field, OR 5+ years of progressive engineering/automotive manufacturing experience.
- Strong experience in PLC programming, HMI development, robotics, and network communication (Prior Japanese PLC experience is not required).
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical procedure manuals.
- Excellent cross‑departmental communication skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Must successfully complete Company ISO Procedures (Manufacturing 500, 501, and 502) upon hire.
