Security Guard Green Street Dalton GA D Shift; Dalton, Georgia,

D Shift Rotating 12 hour Nights 6 pm - 6am

Responsible for monitoring traffic in and out of the complex, monitoring parking lots, and patrolling plant and office areas.

• Monitor and control entry/exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles at the facility.
• Contact supervisors or employees by phone to announce visitors.
• Log all required vehicles entering/exiting grounds and direct them as necessary.
• Check truck seals on container trucks as required.
• Monitor and provide parking control for office complex and plant areas.
• Keep dock areas clear for trucks.
• Distribute applications for employment to prospective employees.
• Answer phone outside of normal business hours and direct calls as needed.
• Assist in keeping work areas clean and orderly.
• Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Interpersonal skills and judgement skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Must be able to read and write legibly.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to motivate and work well with others.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs.
• Occasionally required to look at reports.
• Must be able to work 8‑12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
• This position has the responsibility and authority to report to management any safety problems and potential issues encountered while performing the job.
• This position has the responsibility for the quality and safety of the employee’s own output.
• Work in an office environment.
• Occasionally work in a normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving vehicles.
• Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
