Billing Clerk

The Billing & Invoicing Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely creation of customer invoices. This role ensures pricing, freight, and billing terms are correctly applied prior to invoicing and works cross-functionally with sales, customer service, logistics, and finance to resolve discrepancies.

This position plays a critical role in protecting revenue, supporting cash flow, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

• Create and issue customer invoices based on sales orders, shipment documentation, and pricing agreements
• Validate pricing, freight charges, taxes, discounts, and payment terms prior to invoicing
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of pricing sheets for direct accounts, including freight calculations
• Respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Submit invoices and supporting documentation to factoring partners, when applicable
• Ensure invoices are issued promptly following shipment
• Maintain accurate and auditable billing records within company systems
• Identify recurring billing issues and recommend process improvements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excell, and Word.
• Experience with paper filing and record keeping for billing and audit purposes.

• 2+ years of experience in billing and invoicing roles.
• Experience working with AS400 and or Disys accounting systems.
• Familiarity with freight terms (FOB, delivered pricing) and shipping documentation.
• Experience supporting pricing calculations or pricing sheets.
• High-volume invoicing experience.
• Experience in the Flooring Industry is preferred.
