JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Scheduling and Pre Services supervisor, the patients are contacted to obtain necessary identifying, demographic and financial information. Seeks to help patients understand their financial responsibilities, giving the estimated out-of-pocket responsibilities and payment options; at all times providing first-class service to set the tone for the patient's journey of care as well as educate and manage the financial expectations for the patient prior to admission.
Initiates the pre-registration in the Cerner system. Provides information to the patient regarding when and where to report to Hamilton Medical Center. Contacts physician offices for pre authorization information. Contacts payers to obtain pre authorization as needed
