Overview

Highland Rivers Behavioral Health provides treatment and recovery services to individuals impacted by mental illness, substance use disorders and intellectual developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the Human Resources and Professional Development Departments and ensure that the departments are operating successfully under all laws, regulations, standards and statutes.
  • Evaluate and revise policies, procedures, employee handbooks, processes and technical assistance.
  • Ensure sound/evidence-based recruitment practices are in place including those for physicians and NPs.
  • Research factors influencing retention and recruitment and find solutions.
  • Ensure employment offers are completed accurately.
  • Determine approvals for position requests, including pay rate changes and pay scales.
  • Review and revise the compensation structure and pay scales as needed.
  • Have expert knowledge in employment law and work closely with legal counsel on EEOC cases and employment related lawsuits.
  • Conduct employee relations activities including mediating conflict and adverse actions.
  • Coordinate staff satisfaction surveys and implement processes for corrective action that may be needed.
  • Abide by the Executive Team Agreements established by the team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education – bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience – 3 – 5 years' experience in a director level.
  • Experience – 5 - 8 years’ experience in Human Resources Management.
  • Experience – 5 or more years working in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education – master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field.
  • Licensure/Certification – SHRM-CP
  • Experience – 10+ years
