Cross Plains Community Partner, Inc.(CPCP) is a private non-profit agency, that since inception in 1957, supports and serves men and women with developmental disabilities and their families in Northwest Georgia. Programs consist of Community Access, Supported Employment, and Support Services.

Summary

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will have operational and fiscal responsibility for Cross Plains Community Partner’s staff and programs. This role requires a leader who is a strategic big thinker with the capabilities to continue to develop and grow the organization; a leader who can pivot to accommodate continuous change. The ED is business minded while incorporating proven abilities to provide leadership in a way that enables the team to reach their full potential.

Success in the ED role requires being well-connected and resourceful.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to, the following:

Fiscal Responsibilities
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation and consistent financial management and leadership
  • Ensure continuous evaluation of assets and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals of the organization
  • Build an annual budget that aligns with the organization’s vision and goals and submit the budget to the board for approval
  • Administer and provide oversight for all fiscal activities, which includes monitoring expenditures and revenue against the annual budget
  • Oversee and evaluate internal monthly billing for contracts, Medicaid Waiver, State-funded services and Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Possess a working knowledge of the internal and external Medicaid billing system and all applicable Medicaid policies
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, standards and contracts as required by federal, state and local funders
  • Ensure an annual independent audit is completed and distributed to the board and other required entities
  • Provide insight to the board of directors regarding barriers and other potential challenges that would affect the annual approved budget
  • Execute, approve, and obtain board signatures for DBHDD contracts and ensure all requirements are fulfilled
  • Provide oversight for all external bookkeeping and Medicaid, GVRA billing activities
  • Ensure liability insurance and all other requirements for non-profit status are current and fulfilled
  • Provide ongoing guidance to ensure all aspects of programmatic and financial risk management are implemented
  • Report to the board on all matters of business, finance and risk management that pertain to the overall operation of the organization
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Cultivate a culture that is built on the organizational values of trust, respect and partnership
  • Provide quality management and leadership that embed person-centered practices into all levels of the organization
  • Provide visionary leadership by providing clear direction, goals and resources to equip all team members to execute the plan
  • Develop and maintain a strong board of directors, serve as ex-officio, foster strong board involvement, and collaborate to establish strategic direction
  • Actively engage Cross Plains’ board of directors, volunteers, event committees, partnering organizations and funders
