** site has an exciting opportunity for a
** Process Equipment Operator
** for the STYROFOAM plant.
** Responsibilities:
*** Meet behavior expectations in the areas of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S), quality, productivity, and teamwork and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts
* Interface with process control computers to optimize and troubleshoot product quality and equipment operations
* Perform standard and non-routine testing of product quality
* Manually set up and adjust process equipment for product changes
* Safely perform manual operations such as cutting foam during start-ups/jam-ups, manually stacking and grinding foam, and filling solids additive feeders
* Perform on-shift minor maintenance, predictive/preventive maintenance (PPM), breakdown repair, and scheduled shutdown/turnaround activities
* Certify in all areas of the plant
* Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems.
* Follow operating discipline, procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation of assigned duties
* Clear and tag equipment as required. Issue Safe Work Permits for maintenance and project work.

* Required Qualifications:

*** A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required; 2-year Technical/Trade Degree in Process Technology, Mechanical or electrical field is strongly preferred
* A minimum of 2 years professional work experience demonstrating adept process operations, mechanical or electrical aptitude is strongly preferred
* Must be capable of performing simple math computations involving ratios and fractions with or without a calculator
* Must be mechanically inclined
* Must possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and be capable of working in an empowered team environment
* Must be able to work a rotating 12 hour schedule. Overtime is required (including weekends and holidays) to cover vacancies due to illness, vacation of other team members, and scheduled meetings
* Must have a current, valid, US driver’s license

Qualifications:

*** Candidates must be willing and able to work in environments that include: working in tight or closed-in spaces, climbing stairs/ladders, working at heights, standing or walking for extended periods of time, frequent bending, reaching, and lifting, working outdoors in conditions that may dirty clothing or include inclement weather
* Must be willing and able to wear personal protective equipment, such as respirators, earplugs, goggles, hard-hat, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeve FRC (safety equipment will be provided by DuPont)
* Must be able to lift 50 pounds and possess full dexterity of the wrists and hands. Must be able to use hand tools and operate valves and similar equipment routinely.
