Equipment Technician

Reports to: Equipment Manager

Location: Dalton, GA

Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours)

Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Summary: The Equipment Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance on equipment used in the manufacturing process to ensure successful execution of production activities in accordance with high industry standards and within manufacturing time scales.

• Ensure cleanliness of machines and components by using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts, identify defective parts, and recommend repair requirements to supervisors.
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts and other equipment in accordance with stated procedures.
• Reassemble machine parts after maintenance and repair work.
• Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts using power and hand tools, jack and sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances.
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

• +3 years of cognitive and vocational experience handling machines and machine parts.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.
• Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute all orders and demands in a timely manner.
• Ability to handle basic tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively without assistance.
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions.
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisites and simple procedures for operation on various pumps (reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, etc.).
• Able to tolerate a fast‑paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled.
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player.
