Mohawk is looking for a Foam Operator in the Dalton, Ga area. In this role, you are responsible for sewing secondary backing together, selvedge bailer, and the adhesive pan.

• Use the backing seamer to sew the backing together for continuous production.
• Keep the latex in the applicator pan and keep the pan clean.
• Help in oven detail as needed and mix all foam for Duralon.
• Keep up with backing rolls that have sew‑on and give list to office clerk.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Interpersonal skills, manual dexterity, mechanical skills, math skills and judgement skills.
• Pays attention to details.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations.
• Must be able to motivate and work well with others.

• Frequently required to reach, handle, stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb and balance.
• Occasionally required to look at reports.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds approximately 10 times per shift.
• Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts either day or night, weekdays or weekends as scheduled.
