Utility Technician - Night Shift

Summary

The Utility Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the efficient operation of equipment and building systems. This includes inspecting machinery, addressing mechanical issues, and performing routine upkeep to support production and safety standards.

• Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chain falls, hand tools and jacks
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
• Apply adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
• Reassemble machine parts after completing maintenance and repair work
• Remove hardened material from machine part using power and hand tools, jack, sledgehammer, abrasive and other appliances
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
• Have general knowledge of electrical components and motor control
• Have general knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems

• Minimum 1 year of experience handling machines and machine parts
• Minimum 1 year knowledge of mechanical maintenance and electrical processes
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions
• Disciplined to execute tasks without procrastination
• Excellent time management skills and ability to execute all orders and demands in a timely manner
• Ability to handle basic tools
• Learn how to operate the BMS system, dock door/leveler maintenance, dust collector maintenance, exhaust fan maintenance, humidifiers and high‑speed doors
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requirements and procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, etc.
• Able to tolerate a fast‑paced work environment in areas that are not climate‑controlled
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, team player
