Shaw is hiring a Beam Tufting Reliability Tech

C. This position will serve the Tufting/Warping Department by making necessary repairs and/or adjustments to tufting machines for the purpose of maintaining their efficient and accurate operation.

Sunday to Thursday, 11pm –7am.

• Make necessary repairs to tufting machines and warpers.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tufting machines and warpers.
• Make major changes of blades, loopers and needles on tufting machines.
• Make necessary speed adjustments to tufting machines.
• Obtain dissection weight checks for the purpose of determining the nature of tufting machine adjustments and make the needed adjustments pending the analysis of the dissection weight checks.
• Make necessary tufting machine adjustments to accommodate style changes.
• Troubleshoot machines and warpers for mechanical issues.
• Perform minor and major overhauls of tufting machines when machine‑shop work is not required.
• Repair mending guns and other Tufting/Warper Department equipment.

• Serve on task forces and committees as necessary.
• Perform other non‑quality‑related duties as directed by Supervisor.

• Communicate to other employees both in speech and in writing.
• Ensure the work environment is free of harassment and that employees feel free to express problems and concerns.
• Assure compliance with all corporate policies.

EQA Tools, Equipment & Material

• Various wrenches, hammers & other hand tools.
• Support equipment, gauge parts.

• Abide by and enforce plant safety rules and regulations.
• Know evacuation routes and gathering location.
