What we need:

Works as part of a team to support manufacturing operations with the goal of increasing productivity and eliminating downtime and waste. Assumes an active role in overall plant operations, assists all jobs on the plant floor, and supports the implementation and documentation of engineering operational standards, site‑specific policies, and procedures for the engineering department.

Responsibilities:

• Prep and paint equipment inside paint booth
• Deliver motors, gearboxes, and miscellaneous items to other Mohawk facilities
• Coordinate materials, supplies, and equipment
• Record all pertinent data in building logbooks and make daily entries
• Unload and load Blade Blocks, Hook Bars, and Needle Bars
• Replace Needle Plate wires and Splicer blades
• Pick up blades in Tufting, take to shop, and sharpen
• Repair damaged creel gates
• Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision
• Follow all established standard operating and safety procedures and company policies
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary
• Perform other tasks assigned by management

What you have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Lift Truck Certification (preferred)
• Successful completion of required on‑the‑job training
• Successful completion of required health and environmental safety training
• Experience with department‑specific database systems (may be required)
• 1‑year of experience (preferred)

What you’re good at:

• Operate in a team‑based environment
• Basic math skills
• Fine motor skills for wiring, adjusting controls and use of power tools and small hand tools
• Mechanical aptitude
• Replace, unload, and load parts on machinery

Physical requirements:

• May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movement for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Working around moving equipment and in an industrial environment
• Working in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures
