Responsibilities
- Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals. Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion, ensuring resistance to wear, dimensional stability, and compliance with product design specifications.
- Thread and repair breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
- Proactively identify yarn quality during production runs.
- Select and stage tubes for winder operation.
- Doffs finished yarn packages as required.
- Maintain daily production records.
- Run both creeling and winding sides when needed.
- Use black light to check for mix-ups.
- Attend any job‑related training deemed necessary by supervision.
- Follow all established SOPs, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
- Perform other tasks assigned by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of all required on‑the‑job training.
- Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
- Previous yarn or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Operate in a team‑based environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems involving variables in standardized situations.
- Multitasking skills.
- Capacity to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- May require bending, squatting, climbing, and other physical movements for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Work around moving equipment in an industrial environment.
- Regular exposure to chemicals, machinery noise, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures.
