Tearing Line Operator - 3rd Shift

• Responsible for four different machines:
  Tearing Line #1, Tearing Line #2, Balers, and Blend Line.
• Monitor the quality of the fiber being torn by the two tearing lines.
• Monitor the levels of fiber in the finished fiber bins. (There are two bins for each of the two card lines.)
• Keep the work area clean, including the machines, at all times.
• When all finished bins are full, run the fiber to the balers to be baled. Tie the bales with ropes and record the bale ticket number on the Bale production sheet. Store the bales in the warehouse for future use.
• Break down the machines when there is a problem.
• Work with maintenance to maintain the machines and troubleshoot issues.
• When operating alone during a partner’s break, assume responsibility for all tasks.

• Maintain a detailed downtime report (basic writing and math skills required).
