Material Handler Specialist Lo; 2nd Shift

The job holder is responsible for logistics at GEDIA Georgia in Dalton, Georgia. The job holder must operate a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

• Perform all duties that are involved in the receiving/shipping of material into GEDIA
• Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to production workstations
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
• Accurately arrange shipments to all customers
• Accurately label customer shipments, steel, work in process, and component parts.
• Accurately scan inventory into SAP.
• Inventory must be accurate in all areas of materials and logistics.
• 100% accuracy when auditing customer freight.
• Verify all material incoming and outgoing to the shippers/ receivers, preventing all mistakes in the system for all customers and suppliers.
• All tasks arising in logistic/materials area are carried out objectively correct on schedule, swiftly and economically.

• Proven experience as forklift operator
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
