Job Summary
Responsible for finished goods evaluation, raw material specifications, blown film testing, and product recordkeeping. Directs and leads the department to ensure all customer QC specifications are achieved. Ensures standard operating procedures are followed, product tracing and recordkeeping are documented and retained. Investigates complaints and responds to related issues. Works with sales, manufacturing and customers to resolve issues and determine final disposition of orders/products.
Responsibilities- Direct and lead local quality control efforts to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applications.
- Apply QA systems, procedures, and practices to document all activities and maintain manufacturing recordkeeping activities.
- Investigate complaints and represent the location on behalf of the plant.
- Ensure timely testing is completed and the department is trained in the latest procedures in conjunction with customer specifications and corporate/industry standards such as ANSI/ASQC Q and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Specialized training equivalent to a four‑year degree and 6+ years of experience in the field or a related area.
- Familiar with a variety of QC concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
- Creative and latitude to solve problems.
