Overview
Job description for quality control leadership in finished goods evaluation, raw material specs, blown film testing, and product recordkeeping. Directs and leads the department to ensure customer QC specifications are met, SOPs followed, and product tracing and recordkeeping are documented and retained. Investigates complaints and coordinates with sales, manufacturing, and customers to resolve issues and finalize disposition of orders/products.
Responsibilities- Directs and leads local quality control efforts to ensure compliance with customer specifications and applications.
- Applies QA systems, procedures, and practices to document all activities and maintain manufacturing recordkeeping.
- Investigates complaints and represents the location on behalf of the plant.
- Ensures timely testing and that the department is trained in the latest procedures aligned with customer specifications and corporate/industry standards (e.g., ANSI/ASQC Q and ISO 9001).
- Specialized training equivalent to a four-year degree and 6+ years of experience in the field or related area.
- Familiar with a variety of QC concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; perform a variety of tasks; lead and direct the work of others; and exercise a high degree of creativity and latitude.
