• Plant knowledge and passion to help customers with their garden or landscaping needs
• Customer-service driven and a critical eye to notice when customers need assistance or merchandise needs attention
• Creativity to display plants and garden accessories to demonstrate design ideas
• Care with tending to our lush plants, shrubs, trees and flowers
• Complete Cashier, Sales Associate and Department Head duties as necessary
• Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management)
• Maintain your assigned department: keep clean, organized and fully stocked
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your "Ace Pace"
• Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required
• Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings
• Handle special orders for all non-stock items
• Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager
• Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, to discourage shoplifting
• Respond to radio requests
• Other duties as assigned

• Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience, garden experience preferred
• Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service
• Strong organizational skills with a passion for details
• Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others
• A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required
• Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a high attention to detail
• Physical requirements:
  
  work outside in summer/winter temperatures, standing or walking during shift, lifting up to 50lbs, bending, pushing/pulling, etc
• Legally allowed and willing to learn how to sell firearms
