Job Title:
Territory Manager, Soft Surface
A Territory Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining and increasing Shaw’s profitability and market share within a designated geographic area. This is achieved by building strong relationships with customers through knowledge, service, trust, and integrity, and by implementing major market programs, services, and sample placements.
Responsibilities- Conduct daily sales calls with existing customers, emphasizing the sale of soft surface flooring products, samples, displays, adhesive, and related floor products.
- Present products to retail dealers, designers, and end‑users while analyzing corporate lead reports.
- Sell and construct display racks weighing 50 lbs or more on a regular basis.
- Continuously prospect for viable new accounts and stay aware of developments within the assigned geographic area.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and sales volume, and communicate periodic sales reports outlining actual sales, goals, market conditions, and product needs.
- Analyze sales statistics from territory‑specific reports to formulate goals and assist dealers in promoting sales.
- Control travel and entertainment expenditures and sample budgets to meet budgetary requirements.
- Enter all customer interactions and key information into
- Sell and promote all residential products, including Shaw Floors, A/T, and Philly Commercial, and educate customers on these products.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous sales experience required.
- Ability to work with a diverse customer base in a friendly and respectable manner.
- Proficiency with a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software, including MS Office.
- Physical ability to assemble and disassemble display fixtures, including lifting more than 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Must use a vehicle capable of carrying sample boards (approved SUV or van). A minimum storage space requirement applies.
- Must reside within the Chattanooga, TN territory.

8‑hour non‑rotating shift, based on the calendar. Shift starts in the morning.
