Responsibilities- Engage in a combination of cold calling and prospecting to attract new customers, while also conducting face-to-face client visits to build and maintain relationships and increase sales of Southern Reins Logistics' services.
- Regularly visit both existing and potential clients off-site to ensure their needs are met, identify new opportunities for growth, and strengthen customer relationships.
- Work closely with customers to understand their specific logistics needs and create tailored solutions to provide a seamless sales experience, ensuring both client satisfaction and maximum profitability.
- Oversee and track the entire sales cycle for each customer, from initial contact through securing their first shipment, ensuring timely follow-up and attention to detail throughout the process.
- Provide accurate quotes and negotiate pricing and shipping lanes with customers based on an understanding of services, market conditions, weather, geographical regions, and pricing patterns for truck brokerage.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers through excellent service, proactive communication, and regular follow-up.
- Work closely with the operations and tracking teams to ensure the seamless execution of customer accounts, meeting all customer expectations for service quality and delivery.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field (preferred).
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in the logistics industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Competitive and results-driven nature, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a goal-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.
