Job Summary
- Must be able to work independently as necessary
- Create, Modify, and test PLC code
- Change ladder logic in PLC program
- Setup HMI screens make changes to HMI screens
- Program drives and other electronic components
- This position may involve travel to Mountville branch locations.
- Install, troubleshoot and repair facilities and equipment (including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems) such as mills,HVAC, roofs, chillers, boilers, pumps, motors, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary
- Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for industrial machinery or equipment and measuring instruments
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Use electric meters, a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Initiate corrective and preventative action within the scope of your responsibility
- Be a catalyst of positive change to improve mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR).
- Use CMMS system to track and gather information on maintenance activities.
- Keep work area and tools clean and orderly
- Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems.
- Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
- Allen-Bradley PLC experience RSLogix
500, Studio
5000 - Ability to travel to other branch locations, sometimes on short notice
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Two (2) years of PLC programming experience is required, five (5) or more years of experience preferred
- Associates degree or equivalent experience in a technical field
- Mechanical ability to complete tasks such as replacing motors, repairing plumbing issues, etc.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Capable of working flexible hours, overtime when necessary
- Knowledge of 5S or Lean manufacturing principles a plus
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge desired
- Experience with CMMS software
- Ability to perform multiple tasks
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
