Job SummaryThis is a 90-day program designed to teach interns the field of commercial HVAC careers. You will be evaluated on a 30/60/90 day basis to assess your knowledge and job performance. After the 90 days the interns who meet performance expectations will be hired as an HVAC Technician Class I.
Job Title: Entry-Level HVAC Service Technician Intern
Location: This role is based out of the Dalton, GA office and serves the surrounding area.
Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesThis posting covers HVAC Service Technician Intern duties based on the candidate’s qualifications below:
- Changing Filters
- Cleaning Coils, Basic Maintenance
- Check and clean drains
- Hook up gauges to the system
- Provide excellent customer service
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computer and tablets.
- Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong adaptability skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Trade/Technical School certification or degree preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred.
Must be able to climb ladders, lift and carry 50 or more pounds, distinguish colors for electrical work and tolerate confined spaces. Work will involve heights and seasonal temperature extremes. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required while performing tasks.
