Job Description

POSITION SCOPE:

Using knowledge of tractor trailer maintenance: supervise, coordinate and engage with a team of technicians to perform tractor - trailer and forklift repairs. Manage the work request / work order process. Review estimates, audit invoices and approve repairs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Repair and maintenance of commercial trucks, trailers and forklifts.

* Ensuring equipment is repaired and maintained to DOT compliant.

* Understand the Key KPI's and supervise to meet the department objectives

* Supervise through the use of maintenance operations systems - using work requests / work orders and inventory management.

* Ensures a safe and clean work environment

* Ability to clearly document cause, complaint, and correction on each repair order

* Able diagnose and repair issues related to (but not limited to) trailers, some light mechanical on trucks and forklifts

* Must be able to complete repairs within SRT times and to supervise technicians to approved SRT times.

* Will work on other equipment as necessary

* Must be on time and present on days schedule to work

* Responsible for maintaining a culture of compliance and safety in the workplace by enforcing established policies and procedures

Job Requirements

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND

EDUCATION:

* DOT Inspector Certification

* Air Brake Certification

* Electrical Experience

* Welding and Fabrication experience

* High School Diploma or GED

* Valid Driver's License

* Ability to lift 30+ pounds

* Ability to work in all seasonal temperature conditions

* Must have own tools

Most work is conducted in an outdoor environment. Personal protective equipment must be worn in all areas as required. Although the work usually is not considered inherently dangerous, must be careful while performing onsite services.

Job Pay $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
