* Position Summary:
** The Maintenance Electronic Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, calibrating, and repairing electronic systems and equipment. This position requires the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints while utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve electrical and electronic issues. The technician performs work on systems up to and including 480 volts, ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently, maintains accurate documentation, and supports continuous operational reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance activities.

* Key Responsibilities:
**** Installation and Assembly
*** Install, assemble, and commission new electronic equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
* Assemble components and equipment using hand and power tools.
* Perform electrical and electronic work on systems up to and including 480V.
* Ensure installations comply with applicable safety standards, specifications, and company procedures.
** Maintenance and Repair
*** Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities on electronic and electrical systems.
* Diagnose and repair malfunctions in electronic equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
* Replace defective components, circuit boards, sensors, and other system parts as needed.
* Perform maintenance and repair work on systems up to and including 480V.
* Align, adjust, and optimize equipment performance to maintain operational reliability.
** Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
*** Troubleshoot complex electrical and electronic system failures using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
* Analyze symptoms, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
* Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime through timely repairs.
** Testing and Calibration
*** Test electronic systems and equipment to verify proper operation and identify deficiencies.
* Calibrate instruments, sensors, transmitters, and control devices.
* Validate equipment performance and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
* Conduct functional testing following repairs or modifications.
** Documentation and Reporting
*** Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and specifications.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and calibration documentation.
* Document troubleshooting activities, repairs, modifications, and system changes.
* Prepare reports detailing work performed, findings, and recommendations.
** Collaboration and Support
*** Work closely with engineers, maintenance personnel, operations staff, and other technicians to resolve technical issues.
* Provide technical support and expertise to internal departments and, when necessary, external customers or contractors.
* Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.

* Qualifications:
**** Required
* ** High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics, electrical technology, instrumentation, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of electronic theory, electrical systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic and electrical systems.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
* Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
* Experience using electrical testing equipment, including multimeters, amp meters, and other diagnostic devices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to safely perform work on systems up to and including 480V.
** Preferred
* ** Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, or a related discipline.
* Experience with DeltaVTM M-Series Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
* Knowledge of AS-i (Actuator Sensor Interface), Foundation Fieldbus, and Device Net communication protocols.
* Understanding of 4-20 mA control systems and industrial process control networks.
