Full-Time Concrete Finisher - Public Works

The City of Dalton is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Concrete Finisher to join our team. This is a full-time position in the Public Works Department Street Maintenance Division, with a starting pay rate to be determined based on experience.

In this role you will work as a team member to perform hands-on construction, repair, and maintenance of the City's public sidewalks, curbs, gutters, ADA ramps, and street patches, including forming, placing, and finishing concrete, demolition and site prep, installing pipe, operating hand tools, and flagging traffic. Must have the physical ability to work outside in all weather conditions, including hot, cold, rain, storms or snow, and must be able to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 25-50 pounds frequently.

Concrete Finishers may also be called on to assist ground crews when necessary in seasonal or emergency Public Works operations such as storm cleanups or facilitating in the application of salt brine.
