Lift Truck Operator

Job Title

Lift Truck Operator | Thursday – Sunday

Position hours:
Thursday – 11am to 7pm;
Friday/Saturday – 7am to 7pm;
Sunday – 7am to 3pm.

• Receive Yarn:
  Yarn Arrival
• Get yarn IPT from Yarn Clerks tray on Univax; clerk goes to Shopflex
• Put the trailer number in yard location
• Navigate Inventory, Yarn Inventory, Receiving, Pending Receipts
• Click on trailer number
• Select yarn location/no task to unload
• If trailer number does not show but IPT does, go to Inventory, Yarn Inventory, Shipping, Maintenance
• Put in IPT number – search
• Put in Trailer number – Save
• Log IPT information on Yarn Receiving Report
• Record Date/Time arrival and unload
• Record Trailer Number
• Record Yarn Mill origin
• Record Lot Number and amount of cases
• Record Yarn Location placed in
• Unloading Yarn Trailers: give trailer number to Shuttle Driver (spotter)
• Get Yarn Interplant Transfer (IPT) from Receiving Desk
• Confirm trailer number shows a dock location before unloading in shop flex
• Locate yarn into warehouse
• Clerk or system assigns location to each yarn lot unloaded
• Assist with unloading trailers when Clerk is busy, has backlog, or tufting needs yarn
• Locate yarn by scanning the case and location sign
• Prevent damage or contamination during transportation to warehouse locations
• Repair cases before transporting
• Avoid dragging or sliding cases on floor
• Use caution to avoid dropping or breaking yarn cases
• Repack unrepaired yarn cases in boxes
• Stack yarn in straight rows with labels on the outside of the row
• Stack yarn boxes four high with two on top offset
• Stack stretch wrap yarn with 36 cones, three high with two on top offset
• Stack stretch wrap yarn with 48 cones, two high with one on top offset
• Mark lot number, locator initials, case numbers, date, and location on one case at end of row
• After unloading, if the trailer has damage, fill out Damaged Trailer checklist sheet and notify spotter to put out of service, and notify supervisor and Lead

10‑hour non‑rotating shift. Hours fall to in‑punch day, observed by calendar. Shift starts in the AM.
