Accounts Receivable Clerk

Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their accounting team and support daily receivables operations. This is a full-time, onsite position in Colma, California.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with financial data, payments, and customer accounts. You'll play an important role in keeping accounts accurate, payments properly recorded, and receivables running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Process and accurately record incoming payments, including checks, cash, and credit card transactions.
• Manage recurring credit card payments, AR batch processing, and timely remote deposits.
• Reconcile daily receipts, deposits, and account balances to ensure accurate financial records.
• Respond to customer billing and payment questions and resolve account discrepancies professionally.
• Monitor returned and insufficient-funds payments and update customer accounts accordingly.
• Prepare customer statements, invoices, balance notices, and zero-balance communications.
• Review refunds and cancellations and verify cleared checks against bank records.
• Maintain accurate records in Sage and internal tracking systems.
• Prepare outgoing correspondence and assist with post office runs as needed.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and assist with audits and year-end requests.
