Cashier​/Salesfloor Associate

Home Goods, a division of Widgets Co, seeks a reliable Cashier/Sales floor Associate to support our busy manufacturing-focused retail environment. In this role, you'll process customer transactions, assist shoppers with product questions, and help maintain organized, well-stocked displays of industrial tools and home products. You'll ensure accurate cash handling, follow safety and loss-prevention procedures, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented atmosphere that reflects our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash registers to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service on the sales floor
• Restock shelves and maintain visually appealing product displays
• Assist customers in locating products and explaining basic features
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized checkout and sales area
• Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock items to supervisors
• Follow cash-handling, loss prevention, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily sales and service goals
• Support promotional setups and in-store marketing displays
• Assist with opening, closing, and shift change duties as assigned
