Overview

This role supports the Shipping Manager in the receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished products, and supervises distribution and inventory shipments to retail shops and licensees.

Responsibilities

Oversee the night‑shift order‑filling operation, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.

Assist in managing receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies, and supervise vendor contracts for distribution and cold storage.

Assist in managing all warehouse personnel, including training, development, performance management, and scheduling in accordance with the union contract.

Plan and schedule product availability and manpower assignments for the night shift, coordinating activities within the Shipping Department and other departments.

Monitor product and supply inventory across all warehouse locations, including month‑end and bi‑annual physical inventories, ensuring accuracy in the ROSS Warehouse system.

Assist the facility manager with warehouse and grounds maintenance, ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all locations.

Implement See’s Safety Program and assist in company‑wide OSHA‑regulated training.

Track shrinkage, quality assurance, productivity, and labor budget for the department.

Maintain a visible presence in warehouse locations to monitor operations and quality of product handling, storage, and distribution. Participate and lead departmental, safety, and GMP meetings.

Qualifications

Three to five years of management or supervisory experience in warehouse and distribution operations within a food manufacturing environment.
Excellent management and communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree in business preferred.
Experience with automated inventory control systems.
Proficient in Excel and Word.
Bilingual in Spanish or Cantonese preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is $90,000–$115,000 annually. Base pay may vary based on location and experience. The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits, 401(k) eligibility, paid time off (vacation, sick, parental leave), and additional discretionary benefits. Employees are at‑will.
