Batterjee Medical College is seeking a highly qualified Faculty Member in Anatomy to join the General Medicine Program
. This role is critical in delivering high-quality medical education, supporting student development, and contributing to research and academic excellence in line with accreditation standards.
- Deliver Anatomy lectures, laboratory sessions, and tutorials to medical students
Teach core areas including:
- Histology
- Embryology
- Neuroanatomy (as applicable)
- Facilitate practical sessions (dissection, models, or virtual labs)
- Apply student-centered and integrated teaching approaches (CBL/PBL where applicable)
- Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital tools effectively
- Prepare and administer assessments (e.g., Exam Soft)
- Maintain accurate academic records (attendance, grades, reports)
- Provide academic advising and mentoring to students
- Support students in understanding complex anatomical concepts
- Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
- Conduct and publish research in anatomy or related medical fields
- Participate in academic conferences and research initiatives
- Contribute to the research culture within the program
- Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Prepare and submit course and program reports
- Participate in departmental meetings and academic committees
- Collaborate with clinical and basic science faculty for integrated teaching
- PhD in Anatomy or a related medical field
- MBBS with specialization in Anatomy is mandatory
- Experience teaching Anatomy in a medical or health sciences program
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods (PBL, CBL, integrated curriculum)
- Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools
- Strong subject expertise in Anatomy
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
- Ability to simplify complex medical concepts
- Student-centered approach
- Commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement
