Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Find and develop qualified leads and convert them into prospects and customers.
• Achieve at least 25 sales calls per week.
• Ensure the sales pipeline is consistently full.
• Engage prospects and customers by selling company products and services, furthering relationships.
• Focus on bringing on new clients, excluding lost clients.
• Maintain steady line of communication, make periodic courtesy calls to customers, serve as point of contact for prospects and customers.
• Achieve annual growth targets for revenue, profit and volume as agreed with management.
• Capable of closing business independently.
• Understand competitive landscape and internal cost structure to offer profitable pricing.
• Enter outcomes of client prospecting exercise from sales visits into the system.
• Direct and assist Customer Service and Sales Support teams for ongoing rate quotations.
• Establish SOPs for customer service and operations teams to handle new accounts.
• Evaluate customers’ need for credit and complete credit application documentation if needed.
• Follow up on leads generated by overseas and domestic offices.
• Provide regular updates until closure.
• Ensure collection of pending invoices for accounts department.

• Strong language skills.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic and Hindi is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• At least 4–8 years of experience within the industry.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
