Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic GIS I&C Engineer to join our team. This role involves covering all activities required to enable switching systems to be successfully installed, repaired, and any faults eliminated, including the installation of high‑voltage systems worldwide for PGHV. You will represent PG through your presence, technical knowledge, and in dealings with clients at installation sites. You are expected to adhere to project deadlines while maintaining a strong cost‑performance ratio, embodying PG’s QA philosophy, and ensuring all construction site conditions are considered.
Your responsibilities include overseeing the installation and commissioning work to be carried out in perfect technical order.
- Carrying out installation and maintenance work independently.
- Ensuring compliance with installation requirements and accident prevention measures, specifically adhering to guidelines for work on live system components.
- Updating red‑mark drawings/documents with any changes or modifications needed during installation.
- Advising the sub‑supplier’s installation superintendent on planning and coordinating the workforce to meet the schedule.
- Cooperating with the PG Project Manager to establish the status of completed and incomplete work.
- Inspecting arriving material for completeness and potential damage, and coordinating material handling in partnership with sub‑suppliers’ Material Control procedures.
- Issuing non‑conformance reports for damaged or missing equipment within PG’s scope of supply in coordination with the PG Project Manager.
- Supervising final installation and commissioning tests, and PG installation completion documentation.
- Coordinating loop‑check activities and participating in site meetings as requested by the PG‑CH Project Manager.
- Ensuring the competent execution of all assigned tasks.
- Carrying out any additional tasks assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements.
- Maintaining compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Minimum 2‑5 years of experience with GIS is preferred.
- Experience with SF6 gas handling and PGHV transmission and sub‑transmission GIS products is preferred.
- Capability to use Microsoft Project professionally.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
