Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Safely and expertly terminate and splice medium voltage MV underground and overhead power cables ensuring electrical integrity and operational reliability
Perform precise cable preparation including stripping cleaning and applying insulating compounds to meet stringent manufacturer specifications
Conduct thorough testing and inspection of cable systems before and after splicing to identify and rectify any potential faults or weaknesses
Interpret complex electrical schematics blueprints and technical manuals to accurately identify cable routes specifications and connection points
Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with vocational training or an associate's degree in electrical technology preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience specifically in medium voltage cable splicing and termination.
Certification as a Certified Cable Splicer (CCS) or equivalent recognized industry credential is highly desirable.
Proven experience working with various types of MV cable (e.g., XLPE, EPR) and associated termination kits from leading manufacturers.
