The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance for bakery bling. This role ensures the accuracy of financial results, supports operational decision-making, and helps drive financial efficiency within a food production and consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment.## Qualifications###
** Financial Management & Reporting
*** Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
* Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
* Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership###
** Cost Accounting & Inventory
*** Manage cost accounting systems, including standard costing and variance analysis
* Monitor production costs, ingredient usage, labor, and overhead
* Oversee inventory accounting, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
* Partner with operations to improve margins and reduce waste###
** Budgeting & Forecasting
*** Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
* Track performance against budget and provide variance analysis
* Support strategic planning and financial modeling###
** Internal Controls & Compliance
*** Establish and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting
* Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and food industry reporting standards
* Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies###
** Team Leadership
*** Manage and develop the accounting team
* Improve processes and implement best practices in accounting systems
* Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement###
** Systems & Process Improvement
*** Oversee ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Quick Books, etc.)
* Identify opportunities to automate and streamline financial processes
* Support cross-functional initiatives with operations, supply chain, and sales---##
** Qualifications**###
** Required
* ** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* 7–10+ years of accounting/finance experience
* 3+ years in a leadership role (Controller, Assistant Controller, etc.)
* Strong knowledge of GAAP
* Experience with cost accounting and inventory management###
** Preferred
* ** CPA or CMA certification
* Experience in
** food manufacturing, bakery, or CPG industry
*** Familiarity with production environments and supply chain finance
* Experience with ERP systems
