Banquet Barback (Full-Time) - Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort and Club

The award-winning Forbes 4‑Star and AAA 5‑Diamond Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is looking for a Banquet Barback to join the Banquets Team!

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Dana Point adjacent to Laguna Beach, this town played an iconic role in the emergence of California’s surf culture and today is celebrated for its laid‑back vibe and fun, active lifestyle. The resort is perched on 175 acres atop a 150‑foot seaside bluff with over 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and eight food and beverage outlets, including four restaurants, a beach club, lounge, marketplace, and in‑room dining.

Classification: Full‑Time
Shift: Various – must be available to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay Rate: $16.90 per hour based on applicable and specialized experience and location.

As a Barback, you will prepare and service permanent and portable bars throughout the hotel to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Responsibilities include:

• Retrieve orders from storeroom, visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re‑check stock upon delivery.
• Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing, and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices, and storing backup supplies in prescribed containers.
• Assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar, including paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, and produce.
• Transport taps and replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators, and storage areas in accordance with federal, state, local, and company codes.
