Grocery​/Refrigeration Assistant Manager - Dana Point

The Grocery / Refrigeration Assistant Manager at Mother’s Market supports the daily operations of the Grocery and Refrigeration departments while delivering exceptional customer service. This role assists in supervising team members, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring high standards of merchandising, food safety, and product quality. The Assistant Manager is a role model for Mother’s Market values and helps create a positive, efficient, and wellness-focused shopping experience.

Wage Range
: $20-$24/hour

• Support the Grocery / Refrigeration Manager in daily department operations
• Assist with ordering, inventory control, product rotation, and merchandising
• Ensure proper stocking, freshness, dating, and temperature compliance of products
• Help train, coach, and support department team members
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and assist with product inquiries
• Monitor department cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards
• Help minimize shrink through accurate handling and rotation practices
• Step in to lead the department in the Manager’s absence when needed
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and food-handling standards

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
• Previous grocery, refrigeration, or retail supervisory experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Basic math, inventory, and merchandising skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
