Lead Cashier - Dana Point

Overview

The Lead Cashier at Mother’s Market supports front-end operations by providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily supervision of cashier team members. This role helps ensure smooth register operations, accurate transactions, and a welcoming checkout experience. The Lead Cashier serves as a role model for Mother’s Market values and supports leadership in maintaining efficient, friendly, and organized front-end operations.

$18-$20/hour

• Provide friendly, efficient, and accurate customer service at the register
• Support daily front-end operations and assist with opening and closing procedures
• Help train, coach, and support cashier team members
• Assist with register balancing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
• Address customer questions and assist with issue resolution as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout and front-end areas
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling standards
• Support leadership in managing lines, breaks, and workflow
• Promote Mother’s Market values, including wellness, sustainability, and community
• Work collaboratively with store leadership and team members

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience required
• Supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
