Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounts Receivable/ Collections, Financial Reporting
Responsibilities
- Process and record accounts payable transactions accurately using accounting software such as Quick Books, Sage, or Net Suite.
- Manage accounts receivable by matching customer payments with open invoices promptly and following up on overdue payments.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Assist with journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and month‑end closing activities.
- Support payroll management tasks using systems like ADP to ensure timely and accurate employee payments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare reports and analyze financial data for management review.
- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions within a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Quick Books, Workday, ADP, Kronos, or Net Suite.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of payroll systems like ADP or Ulti Pro and benefits administration is a plus.
- Experience working with governmental or non‑profit accounting is advantageous.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing proficiency).
- Ability to analyze financial data critically and perform account reconciliation efficiently.
Location:
Danbury, CT
Hours:
8 am – 5 pm, Pay: $23 – $28 per hour, DOE.
